• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hey guys, here is a place where you can come in, pull up a chair and say hi. Check in to see how everyone is doing. Topic doesn't have to be ED-related, I just thought it might be nice to have a neutral room where we can just get to know each other outside of our struggles.

It's inevitable that the topic might become a little ED-related, but could we please try to keep this room as positive and upbeat as possible? This could be a place where you could come to just get away from it all for a bit, to take a bit of a break from thinking or posting about your ED struggles. An ED can be very very stressful and upsetting.

So come in and have a coffee!

You are all so special, we are all loved so much! We have the biggest power on our side - God! He will watch over us and help us when we stumble. He only cares about us and wants us to recover!

It's odd for me to be this upbeat, so I thought I would grab this chance and run with it, and for some reason I was being directed to create a Coffee Shop thread, so here we go! I hope you guys can use it, I would love to talk to all of you in here!

:groupray:

Hi, you can have a hot chocolate, certainly! And thanks, I love the picture too. :)

How are you Katey?

I'll introduce myself -- I'm Kate and I'm a uni student at the moment, I'm studying music. I hope to be a music teacher at a high school and take bands/orchestras/choirs etc. I have an adorable little black kitten called Puddy Tat (who is currently attacking my foot). I've had an ED for about 9 or 10 years now, so it's been a while. I'm really long term lol. I'm in my sixth attempt of recovery. I have a really supportive boyfriend whom I love dearly. Oh and two mice - Indy and Nibbles! :)

My favourite TV shows are Dr Phil, the Wild Thornberrys, The Biggest Loser (Australian), Medium, Numb3rs and Law & Order - SVU.

So hi!

Ooh that would be so exciting if your cat is pregnant!

My kitten doesn't seem interested in the mice yet - they live up on top of the fridge, the only place she can't get to them! I mean, if they were running around the floor, of course she would pounce, but at the moment, what she can't see, she doesn't care about. ^_^

My parents are buying me a digital piano today, I'm so excited!! :)
