Christianity is a Faith Based Religion. Not only are we saved by Grace THROUGH Faith, but then we LIVE by Faith!

Romans 1:17: "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

Did you notice it said "as it is written..."? That means it is a quote from somewhere. Do you know where? It is first recorded in Habakkuk 2:4: "4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith."

But Paul used it three more times in the New Testament. First here in Romans 1:17 where the emphasis is on:


The Just shall live by faith.

Then again in Galatians 3:11 where the emphasis is on: The just shall live by faith.

Then one more time in Hebrews 10:38 where the emphasis is on:

The just shall live by faith.

Then we must also stand by Faith. II Corinthians 1:24: "Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand."

II Corinthians 5:7: "7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight

I Timothy 6:12: "Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Then we Overcome by Faith. I John 5:4: "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

So if our Faith gets weak and we need more or we need to re=charge, where do we get it? Right! The Word of God!

May we all learn to re-charge our faith daily by feeding from the Word of God.

Surely not many would choose to starve themselves to death by denying themselves food when there was plenty to eat.

Yet that is exactly what so many Christians choose to do in a Spiritual sense. They simply starve to death because they will not feed on God's Word.

I think many tomb stones, today, should read: Starved To Death!
