Does this still apply to Jews who do not 'love' Jesus?

Yes, Jews who do not love Jesus are children of Satan and are going to hell. So are Gentiles who do not belong to Christ, since God is the God of both Jews and Gentiles. And might I add, if you do not love Jesus, then you are going to hell also.

I sense that you're asking questions such as this in order to justify your decision to reject Christ. If you do not submit to Christ's Lordship, then what do you care what he teaches about the salvation of Jews or Gentiles? I think that perhaps you are (or at least should be) more concerned about the salvation of your own soul.

If the elder brother refuses to come in and join in the party all we can do is pray to Father to go back once more and plead with him once more. (Luke 15)

Does this still apply to Jews who do not 'love' Jesus?
This is such a hard question and, truth is, none of us can say. I'm taking classes at Bible College, and one of them is on Replacement Theology, that is the idea that the Christian church has, essentially, usurped the Jewish people as God's chosen people. Christians share a covenant with Christ, whereas the Jewish covenant is Abrahamic and the Bible tells us the only way to God is through Christ. So while it'd be very easy to give a pat response saying that's that, then, I truly believe God is merciful, and loving, and that it isn't for us to say.

It's exceedingly inflammatory to use terms like "your father the devil" when there's a lack context, and when the person saying it doesn't have the same spiritual authority Christ has. Which is, ya know, all of us. When said by us, even in quoting scriptures, it implies that any non-Christian is evil in a very modern, retroculture way, and it's got entirely different, misleading connotations. The truth is, we all of us are evil, and we all of us are beautiful.

I don't think we can know the answer to your question, but I do know that God loves Jewish people, every bit as much as He loves Christians, and atheists, and anti-Christians, and hateful Christians and Buddhists... scientologists. That's how awesome God is.

This section of scripture applies to everyone who refuses to be spiritually born again according to (Jn.3:8).

Those who refuse to accept Christ have been spiritually blinded by Satan (2Cor.4:4). Satan has convinced them that there are 2 kingdoms. Christ's kingdom....and each individual's own personal kingdom. That a person can keep control of their own ship.....or....sign it over to Jesus' religion. When in reality, there is only the kingdom of Light and the kingdom of Darkness. There is no 'middle' kingdom of the individual with a kingdom of Light on one side and a kingdom of Darkness on the other.

Ephesians 2:1-3 (King James Version)

1And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

"This" applies to all who fit that description, Those who claim to love God and yet know nothing of him... Not just the Jews. At the time the Jews were specifically mention because they were the only ones claiming to love, and devote themselves to The God of the Universe.. Now we have so many who are at best Pharisaical in there efforts of worshiping God, that if Jesus were here today I'm sure the majority of "his" following would also be lumped in with the "Jews" as well. His warning was not about a specific race or system of belief, but of a matter of the Heart. Something that transcends the "boundaries" we have created.
God doesn't draw our denominational lines, we do. God Judges us alittle more deeply than the superficial labels we place on ourselves.

This is a "Catch-22" situation.

Everybody must realize that the Hebrews were God's chosen people.

"The LORD did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people:" -Deut. 7:7 (KJV)

Jesus also said:

"He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad." -Mt. 12:30 (KJV)

On the sermon on the Mount, Jesus said:

"No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon." -Mt. 6:24 (KJV)

Even in this life, either God is your Master, or the devil is.

Why was the kingdom of God taken away from the Jews?

"Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." -Mt. 21:43 (KJV)

The Kingdom was taken away from the Jews because they rejected Jesus Christ not only as the Son of God, but they rejected Him as the promised Messiah. Therefore, the kingdom that was promised to them was taken away and given to a nation that would gladly accept Him and bear fruits of it.

After the bringing of the woman taken in adultry, we see that Jesus is preaching to a group of Jews. In John 8, Jesus makes this statement:

"Ye are of your father the devil," -Jn. 8:44 (KJV)

These Jews were boasting that because they weere of the "seed of Abraham" (cf. 8:33) they were entitled to enter heaven. Jesus rebukes them saying that if they truely were of Abraham's seed, they would do the things which Abraham did. (vs. 39) But because they weren't, Jesus called them "children of the devil".

Even John Gill in his commentary on John 8:44 shows that these Jews were "children of the devil".

Matthew Henry agrees with this also:

While not all are, those who come to saving faith in Jesus Christ as the Messiah, the Son of the Living God, are children of God. Those that aren't...

God Bless

Till all are one.

I believe the Lord was specifically addressing a specific coterie of those Parisees he knew would conspire to have him crucified and at the same time still trying to bring them to repentance. Certainly Pharisees like Nicodemus were not part of this let alone the Hebrews in general.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

But the point is, and still is, if Jesus called certain Jews "Ye are of your father the devil," if they still reject Jesus Christ as the promised Messiah, and continue to do as the world dictates, then that alone proves they are children of the devil.

The Bible is plain, either God is your master, or satan is.

No man can serve two masters.

God Bless

Till all are one.

Dear Nooj. You had many good replies, may I join. It is true that Jesus died for us, He reconciled us to God, and he is waiting to lead us back to God, He is the Way. But a few truths have to be pointed out, our God is Love and Forgiveness, our God is just and righteous, God can see our hearts, He knows our very thoughts and wishes, and we have time and opportunity to love and trust our Saviour. Yes, there are children of the devil, but they are like their father, crafty and without any LOVE whatsoever. God knows them, and they will end up as their father, in God`s own time. We are told to love selflessly and to pray, and we will bring all our loved ones to God in prayer, we know that we can trust God, and leave all to Him. I say this humbly and with love. Greetings from Emmy, sister in Christ.
