Ezekiel 8:

This reminds me of the verse where God says He will not always strive with men.

Ezekiel 9:

THIS is AMAAAAAZING!!!! God puts a "mark" on the foreheads of the righteous!!!! It is right in sync with when His people were in Egypt and the blood of the lamb was put on the outside of the door posts of the Israelites!

Profound.

Ezekiel 16:
Interesting chapter. I think people can see it two different ways. The word, is like that it seems. The blind see, and those who see are blind.

Yes, it's an interesting book too, and the word "blindness" can mean many things, spiritually.

It seems wise to follow the instructions given by the lord and His apostles, and not men.

Ezekiel 18:

God PLEADS with His people to repent and to turn back to Him.

This is repeated all throughout His Word.

Reminds me of the verse where He says to "come, let us reason together...."

Precious.

Ezekiel 19:

Verses 12-14 are soooo sad.

Tragic.

"But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them. And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground. And fire is gone out of a rod of her branches,which hath devoured her fruit, so that she hath no strong rod to be a sceptre to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation."

Ezekiel 16:

This, again shows a glimpse into God's heart, and is repeated all throughout His Word:

KJV_Ezekiel_16-49.jpg

God says that Israels sin was even greater than that, this was Sodom's sin, but Israel did worse than her sister Sodom. Im guessing it had to do with her fornication with the kings of the earth, perhaps. Kings of the earth, they love debate, strife, discord. They thrive on it. We are however called to be separate, and to speak the same thing, which is Christ and Him alone. Only in that, can we let the oppressed go free, and to break every chain. To fast from our divisions and contentions.

Isaiah 58:4 Indeed you fast for strife and debate,
And to strike with the fist of wickedness.
You will not fast as you do this day,
To make your voice heard on high.
5 Is it a fast that I have chosen,
A day for a man to afflict his soul?
Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush,
And to spread out sackcloth and ashes?
Would you call this a fast,
And an acceptable day to the Lord?

6 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?
7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
When you see the naked, that you cover him,
And not hide yourself from your own flesh?
8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
9 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;
You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.

Yes, God's heart is with the widow, the fatherless, the suffering, those who have no voice to speak up for and defend themselves.
