Now we move into the book of Daniel. Daniel was a dear and precious man of God who TRUSTED in his God and PREFERRED his God even against GREAT odds.
God gave him gifts of wisdom and discernment and interpretation.

This reminds of the here and now, in this very day and age. This just prompts us to PRAY even more fervently for our country, and the elections approaching.
It is GOD Who can put a leader in place and remove that same leader, or another from their place.
What a pivotal and timely verse!

This is a dear reminder that God DOES strengthen His people, even against ENORMOUS and OVERWHELMING odds.
Reminds me of David and Goliath.
Who would'a thunk that a mere, un-armed boy,with only five stones would've defeated the mighty Goliath, who caused all of the king's army to cower in fear?
It really IS true that if one fears God, he has NO fear of man, isn't it?
Amen.

Hosea 1:
Now this is confusing for me. God tells this Godly man to go find a wife. No big deal there, right? But here's what's baffling.
God tells this man to find a wife specifically who is a harlot.
And he does.
Pardon me while i attempt to digest this.
Her name was Gomer.
And inexplicably, Hosea loved her.
