  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Jeremiah 8:

These people had the NERVE to say to God, after HE had told them of their wickednesses, what have we done? Knowing FULL WELL how abominable their hearts and minds and actions had been towards God.

It was almost as if they were "daring" God to present His case, because they were all set to deny it from the gitgo.

Outrageous.

Jeremiah 11:

verses 7 and 8 summarize how dire and abominable the rebellion is against God.

This is heartbreaking for God, how the people were bound and determined to do evil, and spurning God so blatantly.

Tragic.

Reminds me of the verse that says that God will not always strive with man.

"For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice. Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do; but they did them not."

Jeremiah 24:

If we are to "know" God, we must seek Him with all our hearts, for it is our "whole hearts" that God seeks, not part of it or a passing glance to God, but a seeking Him, and adoring, and worshiping and praising Him with all our hearts, just as David did.
