The wall is finished despite all the tricks by the Arabians
Nehemiah Chapter 6
The Arabians tried four times to lure Nehemiah into an ambush. But Nehemiah would not go.
The Arabians then accused Nehemiah of plotting rebellion against the King of Persia.
The Arabians then sent a false prophet telling Nehemiah to lock himself in the temple.
Nehemiah was wise enough not to fall for any of the tricks done by the Arabians.
At last the wall was finished and the Arabians were sad that all their evil tricks had failed.
Also Nehemiah did not fully trust the nobles of Judah because they corresponded regularly with the enemies of Judah.
Nehemiah Chapter 7
Nehemiah found a book of the genealogy of those that had returned to Jerusalem from Babylon.
Nehemiah Chapter 8
Ezra the priest read the book of the law of Moses to the Jews of Jerusalem (Verse 1).
Ezra read it from a wooden pulpit (Verse 4)
The Levites helped Ezra teach the law unto the Jews (Verse 9).
All the people wept when they heard the words of the law (Verse 9).

The Prayer of the Levites
Nehemiah Chapter 9
This chapter is the prayer of the Levites. It is a very long prayer covering their whole history.
At the end of the prayer the Jews make a covenant with God.
The covenant is written down and the document is sealed to show its importance.
Quotes from the prayer.
1/ And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on dry land (Verse 11).
2/ Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not (Verse 21).
3/ And they took strong cities, and a fat land, and possessed houses full of all goods, well digged vineyards, and oliveyards, and fruit trees in abundance; and they did eat, and were filled, and became fat, and delighted themselves in thy great goodness.
These are just three quotes that I have picked out.
The Levites prayer covers the whole history of the Jews.
