CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I felt like poop when I turned 30. Primarily because I realized I squandered my 20's. Now, I don't care. I usually have to do the math to figure out how old I am. I do like my birthday though. I like getting presents.I have found once you pass 40, its all downhill.

My wife would probably say that sounds about right, at least in regards to my maturity level.
I think most wives say that about their husbands.
Never mind the fact that we turn into sniveling teenage girls for a week every month...

In the Gentle Reminder thread, it says that non-fellowship posts will be deleted, but all I have seen so far is that the whole thread is moved to the debate area. So, if non-members come in and start debating, are they reported, given warnings, infractions, bans?
The rules as they are applied are very confusing...

Yes. Though, honestly ... I like it much better when she's there with me in the store and I can ask questions really loudly like ... "Hey, do you want wings on these?" ... or ... "Hmm, so these stick to the inside of your bloomers you say? Wow, I never knew that!"Has she sent you to the STORE yet?
Though, I do have a confession to make: The wife and I practice NFP (sympto-thermal ... well atm mostly thermal while she get a better handle on the sympto- part), so since I do the thermal, I know when "it's" coming well before she does. Which gives me plenty of time to batton down the hatches for the impending storm.
She's always a peach though, and a good sport even through her discomfort.
