Can sound?

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

That has a slightly naive conception of God, and of his abode, doesn't it?

If it's so naive, please explain how starlight traversing the universe at 186,282 m.p.s. is so astounding, yet sound, which is MUCH slower, and can't even traverse space, can be heard on the other side of outer space in an instant.

And while you're not doing that, explain how angels can get from Heaven to Earth in an instant, if nothing moves faster than the speed of light.

If God can "hear" prayer which is not spoken, sound has clearly got precious little to do with it.

Sound travelling through a vacuum would, in any case, be something to behold.

What about groans?

Exodus 2:23 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.
Exodus 2:24 And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.

Nope, and that verse shows the error of your ways. The Bible is not meant to be interpreted literally.

Tell that to the martyrs who died writing It.

Whether the story of Biblical martyrs is true or not has no bearing on how the Bible is meant to be read.

But thanks for admitting you were wrong again by using an example that fails even your "logic".

So they were martyred for writing a fairy tale, in your opinion?

Not quite. Parts of the Bible are obviously incorrect. That does not mean that it is all worthless. But, yes, sadly in many ways the martyrs were wrong.
Everyone's out of step but my Johnny, right?

This is why I think science runs on the No True Scotsman Principle.

No, most people do not make the mistake of interpreting the Bible literally. You should be applying that to yourself if anyone.

And, no, you are mistaken on the No True Scotsman Principle too. That once again applies to you and not to others. For someone that lives in a glass house you throw an awful lot of stones.

Jesus interpreted the Bible literally; as did everyone else who interpreted It.

And knowing what is literal, what is allegorical, and what are figures of speech is what contributes to Biblical maturity.

Jesus interpreted the Bible literally;...
And you know this how? In any event, I see no reason that Jesus (If he ever existed!) could not have been wrong.
... as did everyone else who interpreted It.
To put it as politely as possible: That is extremely unlikely.
And knowing what is literal, what is allegorical, and what are figures of speech is what contributes to Biblical maturity.
Or it might be just wishful thinking, and self deception.

There is no reason to think that Jesus did so and quite a few to disagree with that.

And you just contradicted the second part of your first sentence with your second one. Even you say that you are wrong.

So do you mean that all other religious texts are true if that religion has had martyrs?
No.

Religious texts have mitigating factors.

Such as single authors, claims of being written by post AD 96 prophets of God, blasphemous statements, or anything else that contradicts the KJB.

Martyrdom isn't everything, and Mr. Smith fails more tests than he passes.

One of his biggest failures, if not the biggest, is claiming he was a prophet of God.

That incurs -- or should incur -- an automatic red flag among Bible believers.
