"Mary came in with a jar of very expensive aromatic oils, anointed and massaged Jesus' feet, and then wiped them with her hair. The fragrance of the oils filled the house." John 12:3

Prayer of the Bride (The room in my heart.)

My Beauty ~ my Jesus! Come away from the thorns,
The abuse, the hatred and blasphemy of people.
So many wounds they afflict on Your broken Heart!
I want my heart to be a canopy covered with roses spread over You,
Or a comfortable bed with a big downy-featured blanket. May my soul be the soft glowing light of a thousand candles and the warm fire in the hearth.
Here is my heart to cradle and console You.
Come from the cold Lord Jesus!
All of Heaven is in my little room.
The Father is here, the Holy Spirit.
The angels and saints to welcome You!
Please let me hold You.
So carefully and gently I would kiss all Your wounds.
With Mother Mary as my guide I would lull You to sleep upon my heart.
You and I Lord Jesus would commune with words unspoken the tender secrets of Your sufferings.

Amen, dear Amy. This invitation from the Bride to her Beautiful Beloved Jesus is so touching! Again, I am at a loss for words.

The only thing I can say is that the Spirit really comforted and encouraged me while reading this poem. I will attempt, with His help, to put into words what the Spirit impressed upon me:
We Christians should never look down on who we are in Him. The new heart, the soft heart, that He placed in us when we were born anew in Him is the very place He desires to make His home! Our new heart, indwelt by Him, is capable of loving Him, and how He longs for our love! He came to this world to show forth the very heart of Divine Love, and to rescue us from sin. This world, however, had no room for Him. There was "no room at the inn" when He was born, and He had "no place to lay His head" during His years of public ministry.
This world may have no room for Him, but Ah!, the hearts of the born-anew ones have room for nothing but Him! In our hearts the Beloved One, the Most-Beautiful One, at last has found His home - His place of rest, enjoyment, comfort, and love. May we open our hearts to Him daily like the Bride in this poem and love Him there, secretly, passionately, and intimately, from the deepest part of our being.

Ames! I would love for you to post your Bridal poetry and stories here. I really want others to see your stuff.

Ok! :) Well here is the first part of a story. This is based on a picture God gave me in my mind one day.
I hope it will be a blessing to people here.

In The Throne Room

Jesus sat upon His throne, hearing the voice of His bride in His soul. Her voice cried out in love
and adoration, caressing His heart, His ears, His mind. A mist of perfume wafted by His face. It
floated among the incense of the continuous praises before the Throne of God and His Son. But
this scent was different and rare. It was given from the soul of His beloved, and it grew from her
delight in Him, a gift of passion freely bestowed. Jesus closed His eyes and inhaled it deeply.
His Father beside Him heard Jesus' heartbeat change, and He looked at Him lovingly.

"This one reaches far into Your heart, doesn't she, My Son."
Jesus breathed a long sigh. Then smiling, He turned to His Father. "Yes, she does."
"She has gained admittance to Your soul's fortress, has she not?" Jesus smiled at His Father's
words and then lowered His head. "Oh see how My Son has been conquered! The King taken
captive!" the Father laughed. The words made Jesus laugh aloud.
"By a mighty warrior indeed! She has stormed My gates."
"I know, I know," Great Adonai answered. "I prepared her for You long ago. And now this fruit
is almost ready to fall from the tree." He raised His eyebrows as He spoke to His Son and they
both smiled.

Father and Son stopped and listened together to the song still rising to them from their child
below.
"A sweet humility this one has. Spirit has worked well Your grace in her."

"And a wonderful work He has wrought," Jesus smiled again. But His Father did not miss the
break in His voice as He spoke.
"My Son's bride is beautiful."
"Yes, she is."

The Father looked again at Jesus, aware of the tears that filled His eyes. He looked towards His
earth and said, " I know how Your heart suffers, My Son."

Jesus raised His eyes to Adonai's face. "As does hers, My Father."
A sadness crossed God's countenance. "Yes...yes. And our whole world groans for deliverance.
The wicked grow still more wicked. But My pure ones shine forth their light."
"And their intensity still grows. Our Spirit still works Your Righteousness, Elohim."
"Yes," the Father said thoughtfully. "The great work is not yet completed. But it draws nearer.
The appointed time draws nearer."
"The end of all things," Jesus answered.
"And the beginning of the new....the time for My Son to finally receive His Bride."

Dear sister Amylisa!

Your story is more than a blessing to me - it really touches my heart so deeply!

That first paragraph! What words! What wonderful, marvelous, words! To see that our love for Him can not only touch His heart, but caress His heart, his ears, his mind! To see that our words of love to Him can become a sweet incense to Him, a fragrance different and rare for Him to inhale deeply! How much our love for Him, grown from our delight in Him, means to Him! How satisfying such love outpoured to Him must be!

That second paragraph! I absolutely love the picture you portray of such tender, sweet, loving, fellowship between the Father and the Son. To see our Heavenly Father and our Dear Lord Jesus laughing together - what a rich delight! So sweet!!

O, the longing, the hurt, the suffering, in the hearts of God, Christ, and the Bride, until the great work is completed! Our present days, though full of longing and hurt, are days full of purpose, for our days are days in which the Spirit still works Elohim's Righteousness. The great work continues; but, ah!, one day, yes, one glorious day, the appointed time will approach and the Son will finally receive His Bride! This is our blessed, glorious, hope!

O Holy Spirit, carry out Your work of grace in us every day. May we open to You and allow You to work deeply in us each day. O Beloved Lord Jesus, do cause us to richly delight in You, that we would have abundant offerings of love to pour out upon You, for the delight and satisfaction of Your heart. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for Your great love to us. Thank you for preparing us long ago to be such a delightful Bride for your Son.

Well Ames...

I am honored that you posted your story here. I didn't remember it as much as I remember the other one about the Bridal dress so I feel as though I am reading this story for the first time. I'm glad Charlie replied because he echoed my thoughts and reading both your story and Charlie's comments...well, the tears are just flowing from my eyes. I feel like my heart is breaking. I know that others feel like I do, this intense longing for Jesus and our natural home. How much deeper is the longing of the beautiful, majestic Godhead! Your story captures these emotions AmyLisa! Please post the rest of the story AND the other treasures the Lord has given you. You can guarentee you will have fans that will devour your stuff!

Let's pray along with our dear brother Charlie...

"O Holy Spirit, carry out Your work of grace in us every day. Thank you for preparing us long ago to be such a delightful Bride for your Son."

This was beautiful and reassuring... Heaven
And then, the voice thunders, God inhabits a cloud..And from the belly of the cloud, the Father speaks..."This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased..Listen to him!" For Peter, James, and John, the scene is bizarre...But for Jesus it is a view of home..A view into yesterday...A glimpse into tomorrow...And And tomorrow's dream becomes today's courage...

amen! Just a sourjourner on our way there. sigh...sometimes, just wish it was sooner than later!
It will be wonderful...A grand scene awaits you ...The Hebrew writer gives us a National Geographic piece of heaven..Listen to how he describes the mountaintop of Zion..He says when we reach the mountain we will have come to "the city of the living God...To thousands of angels gathered together with joy...To the meeting of God's firstborn children whose names are written in heaven...To God, the judge of all people..and to the spirits of the good people who have been made perfect...To Jesus, the One who brought the new agreement from God to his people...To the sprinkled blood that has a better message than the blood of Abel" (Heb. 12:22-24).
And imagine seeing God. Finally, to gaze in the face of your Father..To feel the Father's gaze upon you...
He will do what he promised he would do...I will make all things new , he promised..I will restore what was taken..I will restore the smiles faded by hurt..I will replay the symphonies unheard by deaf ears and the sunsets unseen by blind eyes..The mute will sing...The poor will feast...I will make all things new..New hope..New faith..And most of all the Love you have sought in a thousand ports in a thousand nights...this Love of mine, will be yours..
What a mountain! Jesus will be there..We have longed to see him. Interesting what the writer says we will see..He says we will see Jesus' blood..The human blood the divine Christ..Covering our sins..Proclaiming the message: We have been bought..We cannot be sold..Ever..... ..What a mountain.!
