This is the place to be for the Christian Blue Coller Worker.
Feel free to post your day to day grind here. If a funny thing at work happened, let us laugh with you. So grab a Coke and a snack, sit back, relax and lets spin the yarn, or as we say in the south, "chew the fat".

Ok I guess it is up to me to get the yarn going. This is one quiet breakroom. The Cokes are on me so lets get started already.

In the summer of 1980 I was driving a dump truck through the back woods of central Florida. I had a load of clay to be delivered and dumped on a logging road that needed repairs after the rain. While in transit I had to go through a pasture that had cattle grazing all around. Up ahead on the road were two big brahma bulls butting heads and stomping the ground. As they ere in the middle of the road I had no choise but to interupt their jostling for controll of the ladies of the field.
I pulled my 3 axle single body Mack dumptruck closer and the bulls would not move from the center of the road. Coming to a full stop right next to the rageing bulls I laid into my air horn and reved the mighty Catepillar motor with black diesle smoke billowing from the single stack.
One bull stepped asside while the other remained in the middle of the road lowered his head as if to say "You don't scare me!" and proceeded to butt the chrome bumper. The Mack bulldog hood ornament didn't even shake. By now I was starting to chuckle at the dazed bull and he seemed to shake and then lower his head again as I blasted the horn one long blast. He pawed the ground with his front hoof throwing dust over his back as if to say, "You might be the biggest, ugliest bull I've ever seen but I'll not give up these fine ladies without a fight." Then quick as lightening he lunged again into the front bumper.
I saw all four legs go limp and the bull with both eyes rolled back into his head staggered to the side of the road and I saw my chance to get past and on down the road. I Laughed loudly as I passed but he managed to gather hiself quickly enough to charge again and his head struck the fuel tank at my drivers door. Looking back I saw him stumble backwards into the ditch.
I still laugh at this as I recall this from time to time.
There is more to this story at our next break time.
See you then.

Welcome to another brake from the grinding stone. The Coke's on ice and the potato chips are crisp.

On my return trip back through the pasture the two bulls had resumed their jostling. This time they had moved over to the ditch. I hoped to be able to sneak by without rousing them from their intense head butting.
Just as I got by, the bull that I encountered earlier began to charge the truck. Lacking speed to catch me he stoped and pawed the middle of the road snortted and billowed as if to say "And don't come back."

It was the strangest thing I had ever seen.

The other day I was in a check out line at a local grocery store and the cashier was very sad. I felt compeled by the Spirit to encourage her and said "Be of good cheer, the Holy Spirit wants you to know that He is with you and do not give up on your faith". To that she turned and with tears and a surprised smile said that I did not know how much she needed that.

Come on folks this is the breakroom, lets share our work related stories and rejoice together before we get back to the grind.

Blessings
