My wife wants to go up on Dartmoor to see the Ponies. We'll hopefully get a bit of time on the beach for the kids, maybe do a little walking, and whatever else is around.

Unfortunately things like zoo admissions get quite expensive when you are paying for 6 people, but we generally manage to find plenty to do on our holidays. Can't spend too much on this one though 'cos we're saving up for Disneyland (Paris) at the end of July.

Sunday is a funny day, it starts with lots of noise,
Mummy running round with socks and Daddy say's 'You boys'
And Mummy say's 'Now don't blame them, you know you're just as bad'
'You've only just got out of bed, you really make me mad'

But when at last we get to church, it's really very strange,
'Cos Mum and Dad stop arguing, and suddenly they change.
At church my Mum and dad are friends, they get on very well.
And no-one knows they've had a row, and I'm not going to tell.

People often come to them because they seem sooo nice,
And Mum and Dad are very pleased to offer them advice.
My Mummy is a Christian, my Daddy is as well.
My Mummy say's 'Oh Heavens!', my Daddy say's....'oh well'

My Daddy loves the meetings, he's always at the hall.
He's learning how to understand the letters of St Paul.
But Mummy say's 'I'm stuck at home to live my Christian life'
'It's just as well for blinking Paul, he didn't have a wife'

I once heard daddy say to her he'd picked a rotten wife.
I once heard mummy say to him she'd walk out of his life.
I think they love each other, I really think they do.
I think the people in the church would help them...if they knew.

Ok, I'm really upset, and I can't hold it in any longer.

As is in every Salvation Army corps (well, to be fair, in every church too) there are people who are upset with others. Not knowing which thread to put my two cents worth in, I'll do here in the Blood & Fire Drop In.

Abiel and InTheFlame: Why aren't you feeding your CF cats? If you need help (i.e. blessings), I'll send you some. Both Lou and Purracio are looking very sick, and it doesn't really take much time or effort to feed them.

If you don't want them anymore, then I'll send you some blessings, you can feed them back to full health and put them up for adoption. But pleeeeease don't just let them die... ketzel would never forgive me if I let that happen without trying to help.

Blessings...

I'm too new to the Sally Anne I guess (3.5 years)... what does "Fire a Volley" mean?

O man. We are talking major history here. In the old days (when we still had fire in our bellies), anyone could shout 'Fire a volley' and everyone would shout 'Glory'.

Not heard it for a good while, which is a shame

I am not that old. ;) You make it sound like ancient history! But I agree, it is a shame that we don't have that fire in our bellies anymore. What happened to it?

Hi. I'm new to the forum and just found about this place. I've been reading all the past posts and I must say you all do cover a number of topics. how do I get the creat as my avatar? Fire a volley!

Go to your User CP and on the left you will see an option 'create avatar'. click it. there you will find out the how. You need 200 blessings to pay for the transaction, which you now have.

To grab a crest, save one of ours to your desktop and then download it.
