Anyone else watch the premiere of this show last night? My family did and we enjoyed it.

It's on right after Extreme Makeover, Home Edition, and that was a great spot for it, since it's also a show about helping people.

Ten people have been picked to go out and help people. They're given a picture and name of a person and directions to get to them....that's all! Oh, and some money to start with...last night it was $2500. They were also paired into teams.

The goal is to come up with as much as possible to help the person they've been given... and do it all in 5 days!

It was interesting to see what they did to help the people they were assigned. Some very large impacts were made in that short time. Then at the end, one person (not team) is picked to go home, and the others are back next week.

What did ya think?

Hello!

I started watching this series mid-season. Tonight is the finale with the three contestants -- Cameron, Brandy and Steve.

In last week's episode, I thought Cameron did the best. He got the family a new car, paid off their loan for the year, re-decorated Skylar's room, got the family new living furniture and gave them $10,000. To me, that had the most immediate AND long-lasting impact.

Not to take anything away from the other two, but I thought Cameron's work and creativity really showed.

So, I'm taking it that's not Cameron...the young guy who is already a ...what? a billionaire I think?

I thought he and Brandy had great ideas....can't seem to remember the other guy...will have to look back, I guess.

Yep, it was Steve. The judges said that they looked at a contestant's whole history on the show to choose the winner. Since I didn't watch all the episodes, I don't really know why he won. I thought Cameron would win because in the last episode he thought kinda big -- called up Blue Man Group for a special performance for the students, got the group to donate $100,000 and then got $10,000 from his friends. Plus he basically supported the ideas of the other contestants, which to me showed teamwork.

Steve on the last challenge garnered $60,000 and made the initial contact with the school that they helped.

Brandy went for the touchy-feely -- bringing in a chef to give a cooking lesson to kids who were in the hospital. She didn't raise any money, but the chef she recruited remarked that he'd continue to donate his time to the kids, so that was worth a lot in at least one judge's eyes.
