The bible

I always thought the bible was in two parts the old testament and the new testament. I have some questions for my christian studies class and one is "research and clearly explain each of the following ... 1. The selection of books to be called the "The bible"". Are there other parts to the bible im missing?

As a christian, it has always been my understanding that the Bible consisted of the OT and the NT. I have never seen anything supporting anything that the Bible is missing any of its books or translation. I may be wrong, But I believe that the Bible is complete in its present entirity.

Well, you might actually be missing some parts of the Bible that were taken OUT of the old testiment a considerable time ago. But you can find them on the internet, if you can't find a hard copy for sale somewhere. Try typing Macabees or Esdras in google.

It may be talking about how the Bible that we have became canonized. The OT was canonized anywhere from 250-450 BC, and the NT was around 525? AD. But if that's your homework, you should be doing it.
