Only time can tell.

Do you mean to suggest that Catholic is somehow different than Christian?

Yeah, very different.
You'd think after the sex scandals you would become a true Christian.
I think it was a sign from God!

According to the Bible Code Cardinal Lustiger is a Freemason.

Is it wrong for a Christian to believe the bible code? or even read about it?

Of course not. Seek and ye shall find. I just personally think people can do better things with their time than look for codes. There is nothing written that can't be learned through the wisdom of the holy spirit. Plus, I would bet that there is alot of manipulation going on by some of these people to conform the codes to their own beliefs.

Ya I read the Bible Code II. The guy says that the code says we are here by an accident crash by aliens, and from the DNA of the aliens is our lineage. He says that the code says the key to all knowledge is in an obelisk buried in Lisan (the tounge of the world he calls it). The place where the Dead Sea has receeded. He said the code says that is where the "obelisk" made of iron is located. He says the box should still be there b/c no oxygen has been able to rust it due to the heavy concentration of salt. We all know that nothing lives in the Dead Sea.....

I hardly think this is the place to indulge in bashing. Please do not judge others lest you be judged yourself. You cannot blame a whole group of people for the transgressions of others. How would you like to be included in an immoral practice if you yourself do not approve, but since others are guilty so are you by association with the denomination?

Yeah, look at the Episcopalians.
By going to their Church you are saying I agree and God wants people to be homosexuals.

I even heard that Pope Jean Paul II sold poisonous gasses to the Nazis. I hope he became Catholic because what he did and not because he was hiding from the nazis.

Why do Catholics believe they are Christians?
That's like saying Just because I was born in China that makes me Chinese when in fact your a different race.
Hence you are called Catholics NOT Christians.

You have no idea what you are talking about! Get some facts together and stop sprewing your hateful lies.

Because Catholics worship Jesus Christ.

Yeah, that's a good analogy.

The two words mean the same thing.

*Mod Hat On* I don't know how a discussion of the Bible code turned into a Catholic/Protestant Northern Ireland type debate, that that isn't allowed in this forum. Read the forum specific rules folks and take this type discussion elsewhere, like IDD. But don't expect it to go over well there either.

This is a forum that is specifically for non-believers to ask Christians, both staff and members, questions about Christianity, the Christian faith and issues about salvation and the gospel.

This is NOT a forum for debate or controversy. Those questions belong in the "General Apologetics" forum. Any questions or posts that are designed to confront or argue will be moved to the "General Apologetics" forum.

This is more a forum for non-believers to find out more about the Christian faith, not a forum to argue or debate the Christian faith. For example, "Why does the sacrifice of Jesus bring Christians salvation?" - NOT "Jesus is not God" etc.

I might add that debates by Christians of differing denominations aren't allowed either. Please obey these rules or warnings will be issued. *Mod Hat Off*
