Best---having 14 years of teaching under my belt and being mature enough and wise enough to be a good dad to my 6, 5, and 3.5 year old kids

Worst---gained 30 lbs from when I was 20 (I'm 36), went bald and had to resort to the Jason Statham hairdo, have no energy from dealing with 6th Graders, and I feel like a relic because if it's not from the 1970's or 1980's I usually don't like it! ^_^

Best thing about 30: feeling grown up.
Worst thing about 30: being grown up. *sigh* (and people younger than me gettin married)
People I used to baby sit getting married. *cries*

Best thing about being 30: My kids are teenagers and fun to enjoy now.
Worst thing about being 30: My kids are teenagers and are about done with school. I won't even be 40 before my last child graduates and then...what?

Best thing: knowing you're not part of Generation Y!!! Thanks be to God that I wasn't born in 1990 onward!

Worst: watching everyone remake the movies you grew up with like "The Thing," "The Fog," "Star Trek" and a host of other stinkers!

Also, being an 80's kid rocks

Worst- waking up at 5:30am to work out is not as fun anymore lol

Best: The opinions of others don't matter nearly as much to me as they did at twenty-nine. (And, at thirty-nine, I still don't have crow's feet. In fact, I look younger than quite a few twenty-somethings I know. Thanks mom and dad!)
Worst: I feel a bit more disconnected from society than I used to.

Archery sounds awesome.
I would probably do really bad at it as I am clumsy.

Yeah it is great fun. Awesome if you like the outdoors and want to do something that is a little different. Im sure you would be fine at it  Its all about practice! I like it because it is not all about strength but also technique. The trick is to start with a bow that has a draw weight you can easily pull. I also hunt but haven't tried that with my bow yet!

Sounds so interesting! Love the outdoors but don't get a chance to enjoy it much. Does height matter when choosing a bow? I'm sure there are different sizes in bows, or no?

I know exactly how you feel, I live in a city and find it hard to get out and enjoy it as much as I would like. I would like to move back to the country, back to my roots, someday soon.

Do you mean bow height (or length)? or person height? :D Either way the answer is no, not really. Bows come in all different sizes and draw weights, I have a 64" recurve bow with a 55 pound draw weight. A compound bow of the same draw weight might be half the length due to the way it operates. As far as height of the person goes, that doesnt matter one bit. What matters is your draw length (the distance from the string to the hand rest at full draw) which can be adjusted for any bow you pick up. Probably the most important thing for a beginner is getting a draw weight (usually measured in pounds) that you can comfortably draw to prevent any shoulder injuries and so you can work on form to begin with.

I like the traditional form of archery, which is why I have a recurve bow. There are different lengths, 60", 62", 64" etc. Supposedly the longer the bow the more accurate but i'm not 100% sure on that o_O

Sorry for waffling on!

Lol no worries. It was all great info, so thank you!

Oh and by height I meant the persons height. But as you mentioned, it does not matter.
I was just curious, as I am a little bit on the short side :p .

Hopefully, soon rather than later, I'll be able to learn the art of Archery!
(I said it with an English accent to sound fancy lol)
