The Passion of the Christ was a good witnessing movie but have you seen or even heard of The Gospel Of John? The movie Is the gospel according to John and nothing added. My church had viewed it for bible class and we followed it with our bibles. It's a great studying tool as well when you have the dvd to operate the pause and scene selections. It does not contain/add any of the other gospels to any part of the movie,so do not be surprised to see parts of what happened left out-Like I said it has only John's book.
Also, the actors did a superb job replaying out the events and by no means is cheesy and I was quite pleased as being highly critical of movies.
Since all scripture is God inspired and profitable for instruction-I have to say the glory of this excellent book to movie goes to God.
