I chose Donatello, but I really don't have a favorite.

I must say the new series is the best show on television hands down. We definitely need adult animation becasue I'm tired of the assumption that animation (the medium) is just for kids. We need push so that American animation has the diversity seen in Anime.

I haven't given the new TMNT a shot yet.

I've seen a few of the new episodes, but I keep trying to compare them to the episodes of old and I prefer the originals.

Same thing with Transformers... the new stuff they have now is just horrid. But I will forever love the originals... I have them on DVD.

Have you really watched and compared it with the old ones, or is it from what you remember? Nostalgia has a uncanny ability to cloud our vision.

I would say you need to watch "The Shredder Strikes", "Shredder Strikes Back", and "Return to New York". Those multi-part episodes in the first season will give you a sense of how far advanced the new series is over the older series.
