• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My most favorite line of all time is Sara Evans, I give in. I think it's so beautiful.

"In your eyes I see the souls of our unborn children."

Dang... that's a hard one to top. As a writer, I wish I'd thought of that one myself.

The two songs that popped to mind were "So Beautiful" by Pete Murray and "The Road I'm On" by 3 Doors Down. And I guess I suck at picking out single lines, because I couldn't narrow down anything beyond these passages:
And all the clothes that you wear,
And the colors in your hair
Shouldn’t change you
Now you tell me why it’s so
You bigger than mighty Joe,
(At least you think so)

God my fingers burn,
Now when I think of touching your hair
You have changed so much that I don’t know,
If I can call you and tell you I care
And I would love to bring you down,
Plant your feet back on the ground

Now the scene that you’re in,
And the people that you been with
Just get to me,
But you think I’m not as cool,
As you are so beautiful
Well who you fooling

She said life's a lot to think about sometimes
When you're living in between the lines
And all the stars they sparkle and shine everyday

He said life's so hard to move in sometimes
When it feels like I'm towin' the line
And no one even cares to ask me why I feel this way

I know you feel helpless now and I know you feel alone
That's the same road, the same road that I am on

What you thought was real in life somehow steered you wrong
Now you just keep drivin' tryin' to find out where you belong
All I ever wanted to see
Was just invisible to me

From the song, Invisible by The Church. Especially when taken in context with the song, which is one of the ones that I was able to grasp more quickly, it's a brilliant line, evocative of so much feeling and longing.

" 'Cause I miss you, body and soul so strong that it takes my breath away, and I breathe you into my heart and pray for the strength to stand today....'cause I love you, whether it's wrong or right, and though I can't be with you tonight, know my heart is by your side. "

I just love that line of the song "If You're Not The One" by Daniel Bedingfield....I can relate so much to it...
