+ 2 for The Beatles. I remember watching their appearance on the Ed Sullivan show like it was yesterday.

That being said, I can't narrow down a favorite song. In fact it may be easier to identify which songs aren't my favorites per album! :D

It's been quite a while since I've listened. I was hugely into Sgt. Pepper as a child. All of their albums are solid, but Rubber Soul and later are the best. These are the kind of albums that are best enjoyed in their entirety.

I like the Fab Four. But IMO in their later albums really needed an outside party to cut down their excesses. How many times does one REALLY need to hear "na na na na nanana na, nanana na, Hey Jude?" I heard that SO MUCH on the radio it took over 30 years for me to enjoy hearing it again.

My favorite album of theirs is the White Album; and actually Revolution #9 is one of my favorite tracks on that work. "Back in the USSR" and "Revolution #1" are also favorites.

I do not know if anyone has the "Black Album," but it has some interesting pieces on it. It is outtakes from the "Let it Be" project and has several different lyric sets for "Get Back." My favorite one from that one is "No Pakinstanis" which was McCartney's original lyric. Then John tried a different lyric. (also on the Black Album) The version we know uses Harrison's lyrics.

Pretty Ado Lamb, was a Pakistani, living in another world,
Want it thrown around, don't dig no Pakistanis, taking all the people jobs.

Meanwhile back at home too many Pakistanis Living in a council flat
Candidate Macmillan, tell us what your plan is Won't you tell us where you're at?

So get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged.
Get back, get back, get back to where you once belonged.

I'm not a huge Beatles fan but I do like them!

I really like I Should Have Known Better, Eleanor Rigby , Sgt. Pepper/With a Little Help from my Friends, I am the Walrus, Dear Prudence, etc.
I never liked it very much when I was younger, but I've grown to also love Hey Jude recently. It's so good hahaha

I was born in 1960 so I was still pretty young when the Beatles were in their biggest phase between 1965-1969. In the 70's the started experimenting with some weirder type of music and at that time I was starting to listen to Early Contemporary Christian Stuff.

Yesterday was Ringo's 75th birthday. Whodathunkit?

carpenters did a great cover of Ticket to Ride.
Actually, my favorite cover of 'Ticket to Ride' was by Paul Revere and the Raiders on their TV show 'Where the Action Is.'
