  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi all just got back from Vegas with my boss and saw Love music by the Beatles performed by Cirque Du Soleil..I must say i was so proud to hear their songs, and how well they still sound all these years later,so manyyyyy classic songs..

Without doubt 2 bands and 1 solo act in the 60s changed music..
1) the Beatles music and lyrics outstanding..Also George Martins production was years ahead of its time..I think its safe to say no Beatles equals a very different musical landscape now..
2) Velvet Underground changed a lot of stuff too, years ahead of most bands of the 60s,its often said of them "not many people saw or heard them, but those who did formed bands" without them no punk or new wave imo..
3) Dylan goes without saying

btw RIP Larry Norman
