I do like Green Day quite a bit, but this one's not a tough decision. Radiohead is easily my pick for best band of the 90's, and is quite possibly my favorite band of all time. OK Computer is a masterpiece; the defining musical achievement of the last 20 years. No contest here.

I dont know much Radiohead, but I've seen 2 videos and loved them. (I did not really pay attention to the music unfortunately).
And I hate Green Day with a passion! Billy Joe's whining is worse than someone scratching their nails across a chalkboard (which actually doesnt bother me that much....) :)

I'm definitely not looking forward to Phish v. Pink Floyd :( I've got a bad feeling about that one.
There's no doubt where that one will end, but I still love my Phish.

The first time I saw Phish back in '94, they were playing one night and Pink Floyd was playing the next night. My parents told me I could only see one of the shows and I chose Phish. Pink Floyd had really declined by then and didn't want to see a shell of what they used to be.

I've never listened to any Radiohead music or much Greenday music, so I decided I'd get two songs from each to judge. I listened to the two Radiohead tracks, "Creep" and "High and Dry", and then I listened to about 20 seconds of "Longview" by Greenday and it was obvious they're so much better.

Radiohead will **** this in by the looks of things, but they're absolutely awful IMO... so I voted for Greenday :).

That's strictly opinion... although it's kind of good that that generation has a defining achievement... some of the music the people my age listen to is a joke, and nothing mainstream is terrible memorable :(.

But yeh, there's been far too much throughout the 80's and 90's to call that the defining achievement. Not taking away from Radiohead, but don't get Axver started about how U2 has been coming nice for the past 20 years :D .

Radiohead awful? Blasphemy! Creep definately isn't one of their better songs, though. I would have suggested something from Ok Computer, sheer brilliance.
