And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. Revelations 20:9
Satan had gathered his army, they knew the plan, they knew what they were to do, but he didnt know what God had in store for him.
We dont know what His plan is, we know that it involves the seven chosen ones, but how the battle will evolve we just dont know Satan had told his army earlier that evening.
His army had watched him concern and fear flooding them, he was beginning to fear that he wouldnt be able to contain them. That the fright and terror they felt would convey and their mission would fail.
He had held himself high, roaring like a lion, showing no fear, and teaching them that he was the strongest, even if he didnt feel it. His army had followed in suite, and the earth shook with the noise of an army as vast as the specks of sand roared, bearing teeth, rotting and green, eyes full of hatred and despise, all void of colour, evil being the only thing to be seen. Scared faces, gnarled hands, wisping hair all roaring in unity. The union of evil the battle had begun.
Satan knew about the seven chosen, he knew who they were God had revealed all to him. However, he believed them to not be powerful, not as powerful as his army. But now was the time to go and seek as they had been all called together in front of the throne of God. Being raised up to be great warriors of righteousness, armed with their swords of truth. Satan raced to the throne and sat and watched as one by one they entered, and knelt at the foot of the Lord. Slinking back into the shadows deeper when the ice-cold stare of Jesus penetrated his being.
Joshua, come and kneel before me My son the voice boomed, shaking the heavens and earth, as a small man came forward, his head bowed, his eyes lowered to the ground, kneeling on one knee, his sword in his hand.
You have come to Me from a troubled background, one wrought with danger and hurt, but I have healed your wounds, I have made you whole, so that you may go out and fight My fight of righteousness. Bringing glory to Me. You are My son, just as Jesus who sits by My right hand is My Son, you too are righteous and deserving of My love. Angels could be heard singing in a shrill cry, the cries becoming deafening, Satan feeling more and more uncomfortable, the light was beginning to reach out and touch every part of the throne room, there was no longer any room for Satan to hide in the darkness.
Feeling fear he turned quickly and ran away, the last words he heard were that of the angels singing Glory on High, as he felt his back burning, the light touching, burning his darkened rags of clothes, melting them to his skin, causing blisters to fester and pop. He screeched in pain, slapping at his back as he ran, anger surging through his body wanting revenge more.
Running from the throne room, which was the golden tabernacle, glaringly bright, brighter than the sun. And into the darkened earth he ran, his back flaming, setting a light the long grass in which he ran. Through the clearing and into the woods, where only darkness resided. It was in the safety of the trees shadowing him, hiding him from the glory of the Lord that calm began to restore itself.
Enjoy now Joshua for you are about to die, He screamed before throwing himself into a tree trunk to stamp out the flames, wreaking agony throughout his body.
Satans anger was increasing with every day that passed, he could taste revenge yet couldnt quite feel it, he wanted it more, he lusted it, he needed it. He watched as his army waited for their cue, pacing back and forth, the humans, which they once were now nothing more than his army. Ugly creatures, unable to stand the light. To each other they looked like they had always, but to the angels and demons that walked among them, they were horrid looking creatures, fearsome and terrifying. Filled with hatred, lust, greed and despise. The seven were able to tell what they were God had opened their eyes, they knew the demons, they knew the angels, they knew him and they knew God. But he knew the seven, and he would get them, this was his promise. They would not be able to defeat him, they would not put him back in the pit, and he would win this time.
