I assume you looked at the first page of this thread? Try the recipe!

It's easy to make. You can use an unbaked pie crust purchased at the market, if you like. My mom says Pillsbury is the best. She's a caterer, and this is one of her few shortcuts, but she won't use any other brand.

Thanks, no I didn't look at the first page in enough detail to read the recipe, but I'm going to now -

I sense a cooking experiment coming on. I assume a short pastry base will be okay? I don't think Tescos here in the UK are big in pre-prepared Shoo-fly pie bases!

I must be honest, I actually thought a 'shoo-fly pie' was a polite name for a cow-pat!
Now, where are my sunglasses so I can look cool again...
