The English word Antichrist is taken from the Greek Antikhr stos which literally means instead of Christ. According to the author of 1st and 2nd John an Antichrist is someone who doesnt follow Jesus. Also according to the author of 1st John there are many antichrists that have already come thus signaling the last hour (2nd coming of Jesus) in the authors lifetime. 1 John 2:18, 22, 4:3, and 2 John 1:7.
Paul of Tarsus has been theorized by some to have fulfilled the role of the Antichrist. I shall explain more if wanted.
Nero, the 4 emperors who succeeded him, Vespasian to emperor has been inferred from early times to be alone or jointly as the Beast of the Apocalypse.
This is only a taste of candidates for the Antichrist.
How about we just paste that entire thing, instead of just parts of it hmm?
The term antichrist (Greek: anticristoV, meaning "instead of Christ," or "against Christ") is officially Biblical, coined by the apostle John two thousand years ago, and used only five (5) times by him with limited discussion in two of his letters found in the Bible at 1st John and 2nd John. (Note however, that although the Biblical use of the term "antichrist" itself is very limited, the notion of (and pervasive spirit of) the "antichrist" is dealt with frequently and at length in the Bible. Consider, for example, the one-page letter of Jude, in which the term "antichrist" is not used but the allusion to such is very clear.)
To get a feeling for the Biblical meaning and use of the term "antichrist," the five instances of its occurrance in the Bible are presented below with relevant context:
(The translation used here, and in the remainder of this narrative, is the popular Revised Standard Version, (RSV) by virtue of its general acceptance among Bible readers.)
1st John 2:18
Children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come; therefore we know that it is the last hour.
1st John 2:22
Who is the liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son.
1st John 4:3
and every spirit which does not confess Jesus is not of God. This is the spirit of antichrist, of which you heard that it was coming and now it is in the world already.
2nd John 7
For many deceivers have gone out into the world, men who will not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh; such a one is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Not necessary. There is no reason to further explain a fallacy.
The antichrist has not yet come. All who have been "inferred and/or theorized" as antichrist's have not been the AntiChrist. If the AntiChrist had already come, then Jesus would have already returned at the 2nd coming. He would have ruled on the earth for 1000 years. Where is Jesus? Point Him out to me please.
He's not here yet. That's because the antichrist has not made himself known yet.
The antichrist will be a great military leader:
"Men worshiped the dragon [
that is, Satan] because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, "Who is like the beast? Who can make war against him?" "The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months [
the same forty-two months in which The Two Witnesses will be active]. He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander His Name and His dwelling place and those who live in heaven. He was given power to make war against
The Saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation [
he will conquer countries all around the world]. All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast [
many will be deceived into worshiping the man] - all whose names have not been written in the book of life belonging to The Lamb that was slain from the creation of the world. He who has an ear, let him hear." (Revelation 13:4-9 NIV)
