  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Angel Part 1

Through the stillness of the approaching dawn, a voice could be heard.

“I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.”

The sun’s first rays of refreshing light began to awaken the city.

“And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God.”

The cry of an eagle rang through the sky, as if welcoming the newborn day.

“Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.”

Far below, a young man looked at his guitar, smiled, knowing that someday the world will know his name and sing along with all of his songs.

“Well, my friend”, he thoughtfully said, “Lets go and see if today is the day.”

He lovingly picked up his guitar, walked confidently down the stairs, and strode down the sidewalk towards what he hoped was the future, the future that he had dreamed of every moment of his life.

Far above him, on the top of a gray business building, stood Aaron. He said to himself, as a smile spread across his face, “So this is the one who will help change the world.”

A soft wind swirled around him, ruffling his feathers. Glancing skyward he said with a hint of playfulness “Well, I’m not so sure about…..”

A sudden strong gust came up behind him and pushed him off the ledge, sending him freefalling towards the street a few hundred feet below!

“WHOA!” he yelped. Then laughed. A laugh so joyous and full of faith, that if people could have heard it, they would have praised God from now until eternity.

He stretched out his strong and beautiful aqua blue wings and soared right past skyscrapers and other business buildings that made up the huge city.

“WOW! I still can’t believe how much I love to fly!” he exclaimed as he flew right through the spray of a huge park fountain, and caused everybody to get sprayed with the cool water.

“Oops, Sorry!” he shouted, well aware that they couldn’t hear him, except for one of the sprayed onlooker’s babies, who started to giggle.
