mmmmmmm - that sounds good Kami - I might well have a go at that when I get back from France this time .

This sounds like an old fashioned bread recipe. I have memories from School where we were told that the best way to make bread was to get fresh yeast from the baker and then save a little for use in the next batch.

All right folks, time to bump this up. I'm looking for advice on preparing for Pascha. I don't want to spend all day Saturday and Sunday cooking. If I'm making a fruit pie for Sunday night dinner, how far in advance can I make it? Same with the Easter bread? The bread I make is Italian, but the recipe looks quite similar to the Greek bread, a sweet, yeasty egg bread. I will probably be bringing that to the after-Pascha feast.

I missed church today. But I am glad that I finally found a "Paschal hours for the layman" and was able to print it out.

Me too DH went to church as usual very early and we were too tired to go to church riding the T.
And I love Thomas Sunday.
