Amazing Race update:

No need to wait for the TAR 1 DVD to come out in the fall, GSN is airing TAR 1 starting on July 11! Yayyy!

Not only do we get to watch TAR every night, but the quote, "GSN has purchased exclusive rights to the show through 2009. " tells me that first-run TAR will be on for a long time still to come.

Now we can discuss TAR 1 daily, lol.

Lucky - you get repeats.

Well, we do as well. The Amazing Race 1 was repeated because it was on too late and nobody watched it - it was like 11: 30pm. Repeated last year from March at 11am on Sundays.

The broadcast times in Australia has been ridicoulous for the first four series - the second series was all over the place - at 11: 30pm, 00: 30am or 01: 00am, the third and fourth series was better - at 10: 30pm 2 nights a week. The fifth series was broadcasted at 8: 30pm on a Thursday. The sixth series was broadcasted at 9: 30pm on a Thursday. The seventh series is currently broadcasting at 7: 30pm on a Thursday, although, it used to be broadcast at 9: 30pm on a Thursday - after Lost.

I think a lot of people likes The Amazing Race - very popular - especially the 6th series - with Kris and Jon and the competitiveness.
The Amazing Race 6 was most popular, The Amazing Race 7, The Amazing Race 5, The Amazing Race 4 and so on...

I so love season 1. The first is always the best.

I wonder what happened to all of the first seasons teams.

I just realized how much I missed Kevin and Drew. And how much "Team Guido" irritated me.

Kevin and Drew - the brothers - they were a cutie - I mean - I just like the team.

Was the "Team Guido" the gay guys?

I also liked Blake and Paige from the second series.

Yup, "Team Guido" were the gay guys. I know it's not nice to say, but I was so happy when they got lost in Alaska and had to be told the race was won and for them to head to the finish line.

Random things I am remembering about TAR1, and why I liked it so much:

- Phil looks very, very young!
- No models/actors, which is very refreshing
- Kevin and Drew, one of my all-time favorite teams
- Dave and Margaretta - such a sweet couple
- Clues that actually made the teams have to think, not "go here, dummy"
- Team Guido - the original team you love to hate
- More interaction with the local greeters

Yep - me too - I think there's a lot to remember.

I taped it when it was repeated here in Australia because they had to wait for Season 5 to come out - so,

Yes - I still have the show - although there was one tape and there were a few episodes of The Amazing Race 1 and one episode of Survivor: All-Stars The one after Finale - which was a great episode - but it had a problem.

I remember the Tigers' roadblock!
