Hi there,
I want to identify something very practical: the gathering of people together. I further want to propose that this can be done with no specific object in mind, other than for the purpose of creating an audience for someone else, who is subsequently famous. The point is, I want to know if you identify this act as in principle potentially philosophically driven.
Typical claims are that this is an assimilation, a control, a popularity without structure, but my claim is that no, it is precisely an act that has no definition, even proxy the mystery of man, whether the mystery of man is defined or not. People gather. People gather people. People gathering people matters to people. People gathering people mattering to people can be gathered.
As an object of conceptual interrogation, it is simply the expectation of who you will meet, put to work, in a context that has open interpretation and is therefore wholly innocent. I fully do not expect to be criticized for identifying gathering people for the sake of it as an act that has a right to its own definition, but I have been proven wrong many times on that kind of point.
Can you guess which people would most like to be gathered for the sake of it?
Thanks.
