Jesus of Nazareth is not to be compared with the tooth fairy.
When atheists do this, they demonstrate their ignorance regarding who Jesus of Nazareth is.
If I were an atheist, I would cringe anytime someone who was an atheist brought up tooth fairies, and elves, and flying spaghetti monsters and compared them with the historical Jesus.
I would cringe the same way I do when I hear about people like the members of Westboro Baptist picketing the funerals of soldiers.
I cringe and shudder at the very ignorance that compels men to think in such foolish ways.
Here is a list of messiahs that people of religion have claimed to have ben crucified and resurrected. If you can't prove them all to be wrong, then you would need to give them the same credibility as the Jesus story.
