Folks,

Save yourself some time and go on youtube and watch some of william lane craig's debates. He debates Bart Ehrman on the resurrection thing and brings up the probability, which Erhman laughed at it and asked Craig to explain how it could be considered legitimate. But you have to watch it to appreciate it.

Another good video is Hitch v. Craig.... spoiler alert ... Hitch hands Craig his lunch.

what does that have to do with what I said?

Is this all you guys have?

Is this what atheistic responses to theism is reduced to???? talking about 3's and the color pink????

Engage what I said and refrain from throwing red herrings out all over the place.....

It has has to BE falsifiable.
It has has to BE falsifiable.
It has has to BE falsifiable.

Do you not understand why your claim cannot be falsifiable? Do you not understand that because it is not falsifiable, it is an unanswerable question?

Help us out here.

This is precisely the logic that Craig uses.

If the universe had a beginning and all beginnings have a cause and science doesn't know all the answers, then it must be God. And, if you can't prove me wrong, than God must exist.

Why can't Jesus resurrection be falsified?

I can think of one way it could be.

Produce His body.

Where is His body?

Oh ..... wait...wait..... I know I know, the disciples stole the body somehow......they got past the Roman guards, through the stone and made away with it somehow without ever being found out....

And if you believe that, I have some oceanfront property in Kansas I will sell you....

If Jesus did exist (and IMO, he likely did) who knows where his body his?

Do you actually think we have recovered every body from 2000 years ago or identify bones to an individual person from that time period?

Give me good evidence or reasons to maintain that Christ did not rise from the dead and I will admit that my claims are falsified.

Now, I will wait.....I won't hold my breath....but I will wait.

Give me good evidence or reasons to maintain that the Tooth Fairy did not put money under my pillow as a small child whenever I lost a tooth, and I will admit my claims are falsified.

See the problem? Using your standard, you can claim anything and PRETEND to be justified. However, you are not.... The burden of proof is on you to demonstrate your claim about Jesus. If you can't, then not only do we have no reason to believe it, you don't either.

Jesus of Nazareth is not to be compared with the tooth fairy.

When atheists do this, they demonstrate their ignorance regarding who Jesus of Nazareth is.

If I were an atheist, I would cringe anytime someone who was an atheist brought up tooth fairies, and elves, and flying spaghetti monsters and compared them with the historical Jesus.

I would cringe the same way I do when I hear about people like the members of Westboro Baptist picketing the funerals of soldiers.

I cringe and shudder at the very ignorance that compels men to think in such foolish ways.

Ok, you could pick out any number of figures from over 2000 years ago that people claimed to have risen from the dead (Jesus wasn't the only one that had this claim). Can you prove them wrong?

I'm talking about magical fairies, you're talking about a guy magically rising from the dead. As much as you don't like it, there is a basis for comparison.

Now of course, there may have existed a man whom your Jesus character was based off of... A first century Jewish preacher of some kind, but all the magical things attributed to him are no more plausible than the tooth fairy, leprechauns or Muhammad splitting the moon in two.

And what difference do you claim to see between most gods and these other beings?

Here is a list of messiahs that people of religion have claimed to have ben crucified and resurrected. If you can't prove them all to be wrong, then you would need to give them the same credibility as the Jesus story.

Budha Sakia of India.
Salivahana of Bermuda.
Zulis, or Zhule, also Osiris and Orus, of Egypt.
Odin of the Scaudinavians.
Crite of Chaldea.
Zoroaster and Mithra of Persia.
Baal and Taut, "the only Begotten of God," of Phenicia.
Indra of Thibet.
Bali of Afghanistan.
Jao of Nepaul.
Wittoba of the Bilingonese.
Thammuz of Syria.
Atys of Phrygia.
Xaniolxis of Thrace.
Zoar of the Bonzes.
Adad of Assyria.
Deva Tat, and Sammonocadam of Siam.
Alcides of Thebes.
Mikado of the Sintoos.
Beddru of Japan.
Hesus or Eros, and Bremrillah, of the Druids.
Thor, son of Odin, of the Gauls.
Cadmus of Greece.
Hil and Feta of the Mandaites.
Gentaut and Quexalcote of Mexico.
Universal Monarch of the Sibyls.
Ischy of the Island of Formosa.
Divine Teacher of Plato.

I will wait for you to demonstrate why the above is true.

Because we have no confirmed or reliable sightings of Tooth Fairies, Leprechauns, Men splitting the moon in two, or men rising from the dead.

However, you can find people all over the place that believe they are true. After all, when I was very young even I thought the tooth fairy was real. I even had evidence in the form of a quarter under my pillow that it left for me... That's more evidence than we have for men spontaneously rising from the dead I may add.

I am talking about the historical Jesus of Nazareth.
That doesn't really help your case that he's divine. Usually, people don't compare the historical Yeshua to the Tooth Fairy and such.
