  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

 Hi PO...

Thanks! I've been working out 6 days a week for at least 30 min. of cardio (usually 45) and eating right (several small meals a day, lotsa fruits and veggies).

One of the side effects of my medication is weight gain, and I hate it!!!

Here's some rules I follow....:)

1. drink lots of water thruout day.
2. I don't eat past 7:30pm
3. Keep the meals small and frequent thruout day....keep up metabolism.
4. I love chocolate and have to have some everyday...but I just take bites (like 2 or3 herseys kisses) each day.

Sometimes, if I get hungry for no reason.....I'll have a glass of milk and that will fill me in between.

Anyways, those are my habits of eating, sounds like you're on the right track.

Also, out of habit, I limit my carbs....I don't eat alot of bread and when I do eat sandwiches.....it's usually whole grain.

I forgot to say.....my biggest meal is breakfast, because it's the start of the day....
then lunch isn't that big 1/2 sand.--chips/crackers--drink (little snack before and after lunch) dinner....I usually split with my dd chicken, pasta, veggies....so it doesn't turn out to be a huge meal.....then MAYBE dessert, like pudding BEFORE 7:30pm

It's not really a diet, it's just a lifestyle. ;)

That's the whole thing...the reason most people fail when it comes to "diets" is that they treat them as temporary solutions to a lifelong problem. In order for them to be effective it has to be a lifestyle change.
