It appears the next step has been taken when it comes to 2nd Amendment Rights:

It might get traction in Hawaii, but I don't see it gaining a foothold on the mainland. No doubt there will be many other false-flag, scripted, government-sponsored shootings to try and push the agenda of disarming the American people before it's all said and done, but I just don't see TPTB being able to confiscate 300+ million firearms ad 1+ trillion rounds of ammunition.

A "rap back" or hit notice program will inform an employer or other designated entity when an individual who has undergone a fingerprint-based background check, and whose fingerprints are retained by a criminal history repository after the check, is subsequently arrested. His or her fingerprints, obtained after the arrest, are matched against a database that contains the fingerprints that were initially submitted. Employers are then notified of the individual�s arrest. Employers pay a fee for the service in some states; other states provide the service for free.

It may or it may not be constitutional. None of the articles that I've read about it have covered two crucial aspects--how the registration is carried out and how the police decide whether the arrestee can continue owning a gun. Either could easily intrude on guaranteed rights, but neither necessarily does so.
