CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Following the civil division of Rahoboam's time [1 Kings 12:1-17], the Southern Kingdom of Judah was established. The southern region stretched from Anathoth to Kadesh-barnea and absorbed the territory of Simeon and a sliver of Benjamin; in time, this entire area became known as "Judah".
There is no direct correlation between the twelve Apostles and all twelve tribes of unified Israel, though we do have hints about the family lines of some. It's a good bet that Matthew was a Levite, given his family name [Luke 5:27-28]. We know with certainty that Paul, though not one of the original twelve, was from the tribe Benjamin [Romans 11:1]. While the Lord Jesus Himself descended from Judah [Hebrews 7:14], no Apostle is specifically identified as a Judaite.
Following the civil division, the Northern Kingdom (which retained the name “Israel”
established an independent capitol at Samaria. The term “Jew” is associated with pure-blood Israelites from the Southern Kingdom of Judah, while the term “Samaritan” is associated with Gentile half-bloods from the rebellious Northern Kingdom. Though not all northerners were Samaritans, there were no Samaritans numbered among the Apostles.
This is not to suggest the absence of all northerners from the NT story. For example: Anna the prophetess belonged to the tribe of Asher [Luke 2:36]. Jesus moved His residence to Capernaum and launched His preaching ministry in the northern tribal regions of Zebulun and Naphtali, on the west bank of Galilee [Matthew 4:12-17], demonstrating a keen interest in ministering to “the people living in darkness” who were so disliked by their southern brethren. If we can reasonably conclude that, excepting Matthew, most of the Apostles were from Galilee [Acts 1:11], this would seem to suggest an affiliation with the tribe of Naphtali, though nowhere is this explicitly stated.

Jesus had promised that the each of the disciples would rule over one of the tribes of Israel.
Matthew 19:28
And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
From there it may have been assumed that there was a tribal connection. However, another prophesy tells that Israel would always have a ruler descended from the House of David.
Jeremiah 33:17
For thus saith the LORD; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel; (this is a millenial prophesy).
As most of the disciples were descended from the tribes of the southern kingdom of Judah it may well be that they are all considered "of the house of David" for the purpose of later rulership.

I'm not sure if this says that each disciple will rule over one of the 12 tribes. I've always read it to mean the 12 disciples will collectively sit over the 12 tribes. That's not to say that the the individual throne-tribe rule isn't prescribed in the Bible. It's just that you can't definitively infer that statement from this verse.
