  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I'm not sure what folks see as unusual about it. If you mentioned this forum at another forum, or anywhere else in life, and someone came and registered as a result they might well list you as having "referred" them - particularly if they read that there was a benefit to be had by anyone who did so. There is nothing sinister to the fact that they don't choose to tell you who they are.

I post on several forums and I know for a fact that there are people at a couple of them who use different nicks on the various forums at which they post. I choose to use the same nick on every forum because I believe it gives me increased credibility with any who know me from elsewhere. To some, that isn't important; increased anonymity is. The nature of the internet is that no one knows any more about you than you choose to reveal and even then most folks cannot be certain that what you've chosen to reveal is true.

Reading more into the fact that someone has "blessed" you by identifying you as the person who caused them to come here is a stretch.

Many years,

Neil
