I'm leaving CF for the foreseeable future. I have no more patience the buffoons who so effectively inhibit intelligent discussion, and the matter has been made worse by the ill-conceived elimination of General Apologetics. I find the entire attitude by which the site is run increasingly condescending and antagonistic to different points of view, and I've had enough. I'll be back when my malevolence again outweighs my irritation. And how long can that be, really? After all, I live in Atlanta.

To me, the closing of General Apologetics was an end run around a whole lot of ineffective (embarrassing?) attempts to defend Christian theology. But it's Cf's choice as to how it wants to operate and present itself. If the heat is too much then getting out of the kitchen is a reasonable, although in my opinion not very honorable, way to deal with it.

As for Nihilist's leaving. I wish him well and hope he returns soon.

You know what I do nihilist? I don't debate religion here, I have absolutely no desire to do that anymore, that is a huge headache, and you can't prove you are right, so what is the point in debating, we are convinced of what we are convinced is true, as a matter of faith really, they can'tprove it we can't prove it, and the best thing to do is to not care and find other interests really. There is the issue of politics and the support group forums, such as mental health, and physical health. I go to the mental health section quite a lot and encourage people not to kill themselves and get psychiatric care that works. Well you hang in there nihilist, hey and if you see someone saying "God is punishing them," you tell them "God loves you! " You got to admit that is kind of funny coming from an atheist.
