Health and hygiene should be taught imo, as well as art and music. Sex ed is a part of health and hygiene; kids need to know how to take care of themselves especially as they sprout into puberty.I very plainly stated religion and sexuality should not be part of the curriculum. Instead our educators should focus on academics.
I noticed that too.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma has amended its request for 55,000 Bibles to be placed in public schools that initially matched a version of the holy book endorsed by former President Donald Trump. The request was amended Monday and no longer requires the Bibles to include U.S. historical documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution — requirements that match the “God Bless the USA Bible” that Trump endorsed this year and that are several times more expensive than similar Bibles that don’t include the U.S. documents. The new request says the historical documents may be included together or separately and extends the deadline for offers to supply the items by one week, from Oct. 14 to Oct. 21.So much for a rubric - another conspiracy theory bites the dust.
It's barely a change. The non-biblical documents need to still must be bound in a durable material (so those little pocket constitutions wouldn't qualify) and the shift in the deadline barely affects availability. Any vendor other than Greenwood/Trump is going to have to find 55000 copies of the other documents in durable cover and purchase them. The delay of 1 week is rather minor. These "fixes" only barely reduce the "Trump/Greenwood grift" aspect and don't address that the schools aren't teaching this book, so they don't need them.

I'm not sure why you refer to this as a CT when the allegations have been borne out. Changing the specifications after getting called out doesn't change any facts.

It's all in the OP, including a link to the original bid. What facts?
Please link the facts. Not just innuendo please.
Did you read the title of that link. It's all in the OP, including a link to the original bid.
'Trump Bible' one of few that meet Walters' criteria for Oklahoma classrooms
Bibles endorsed by former President Donald Trump cost $60 each online, with Trump receiving fees for his endorsement.www.oklahoman.com
What specifically is the "misinformation"?Did you read the title of that link.
Key words ‘one of the few’. That means there are others. Did you catch that?
So again, any actual facts linking the conspiracy between the Governor and the President?
Nope, just another conspiracy theory that falls apart from lack of foundation in reality.
And here I thought misinformation was a bad thing.
What we have been discussing non stop for two daysWhat specifically is the "misinformation"?
How can it be specific when there has been absolutely no proof of the conspiracy presented? It is a fact that the rubric is specific.
Apparently reasonable conclusions made from publicly available data is now "misinformation" if you don't like the implications. What specifically is the "misinformation"?
The bid solicitation contains multiple specifications, including the material of the book cover. How can it be specific
Specifically. What we have been discussing non stop for two days
Ryan Walters put out a request for proposal to buy around 55,000 Bibles for public school classrooms each of which has to include just what the Trump/Greenwood bible includes, needs to be the exact version the Trump/Greenwood bible and needs to be bound in the exact material that the Trump/Greenwood bible is bound with. There is no specification that these bibles need to be American made; the Chinese ones are fine - and specifically exempted from any tariffs (or at least they were during his administration). How can it be specific when there has been absolutely no proof of the conspiracy presented?
I don't chew my food twice - the posts are still there - I'm not here to rehash for convenience sake - even for you my friend.Specifically.
All you need now is some type of proof of exclusivity - because the articles states other wise - you would see that if you would take the time and read the posts. But hey, I pointed it out in post #50.Ryan Walters put out a request for proposal to buy around 55,000 Bibles for public school classrooms each of which has to include just what the Trump/Greenwood bible includes, needs to be the exact version the Trump/Greenwood bible and needs to be bound in the exact material that the Trump/Greenwood bible is bound with.
Or from Afghanistan - or the Taliban oh, hey maybe they are from Putin's library - yeah - we have not had a good Russia Russia Russia in a couple of months - I'm going with Russia. There is no specification that these bibles need to be American made; the Chinese ones are fine - and specifically exempted from any tariffs (or at least they were during his administration).
WHAT? They infuriated Trump by dropping his Bible? Oh noes! Whatever will they do. I thought they always followed his directions - You know, Trump says it and they have to follow no matter what.Interestingly, the specifics changed when this all became public knowledge. Now the extra documents don't have to be bound into the same volume but can be separate.
"Exclusivity" was never "proved", but the description fit the Trump bible perfectly and almost no others. The conclusion that they wanted to by Trump bibles seems pretty obvious.I don't chew my food twice - the posts are still there - I'm not here to rehash for convenience sake - even for you my friend.

No, they were made in China. That has been demonstrated.Or from Afghanistan - or the Taliban oh, hey maybe they are from Putin's library - yeah - we have not had a good Russia Russia Russia in a couple of months - I'm going with Russia.
It's is doubtful that Trump knew anything of it or that it was coordinated. Just another XNat Trump enthusiast sending money (in this case state tax money) to Trump. Did he have some additional motive? I don't know, perhaps. Perhaps he thought he could be name Sec. Education after the election after showing his bona fides and fidelity.WHAT? They infuriated Trump by dropping his Bible? Oh noes! Whatever will they do. I thought they always followed his directions - You know, Trump says it and they have to follow no matter what.
There is no governor involved here, nor conspiracy theory.Or possibly..... The Governor didn't realize it and began to see the Conspiracy theory rising and moved to put an end to it. Does that bring the Conspiracy Theory to a close - CERTAINLY not.
No - can't possibly be that - it has to be Trump based! Just has to!
2 Questions:Or possibly..... The Governor didn't realize it and began to see the Conspiracy theory rising and moved to put an end to it. Does that bring the Conspiracy Theory to a close - CERTAINLY not.
Right, that’s your prerogative not to answer a polite question. But could you at least say in which post you chewed this food? If not I will just assume that there is no specific misinformation, just a vague accusation.I don't chew my food twice - the posts are still there - I'm not here to rehash for convenience sake - even for you my friend.
Not really. Not all nefarious plots come to fruition. Just because a plan fails (this one isn’t looking good) does not mean the intent isn’t there. All you need now is some type of proof of exclusivity - because the articles states other wise - you would see that if you would take the time and read the posts. But hey, I pointed it out in post #50.
Why? The Greenwood/Trump bibles were outsourced to China - look it up.Or from Afghanistan - or the Taliban oh, hey maybe they are from Putin's library - yeah - we have not had a good Russia Russia Russia in a couple of months - I'm going with Russia.
Are they dropping the idea of spending that much taxpayer money on overpriced Chinese printed bibles bound in synthetic leather? I would hope so.WHAT? They infuriated Trump by dropping his Bible? Oh noes! Whatever will they do. I thought they always followed his directions - You know, Trump says it and they have to follow no matter what.
The proposal came from the Superintendent of Education. Do you know who made the changes, the governor or the superintendent?Or possibly..... The Governor didn't realize it and began to see the Conspiracy theory rising and moved to put an end to it. Does that bring the Conspiracy Theory to a close - CERTAINLY not.
Huh. Have to wonder if Ryan is angling for a spot in Donald’s next administration, perhaps as the new Betsy DeVos?No - can't possibly be that - it has to be Trump based! Just has to!
