That restless feeling

As I sit in my office (with nothing to do) I feel a very strange feeling. I can't help but think of how this act of sitting in one spot day after day is helping people.

Do you ever get the feeling that there are so many more important things you could be doing? I used to play video games and I would say to myself "What good is this?". Today I sit in front of my computer and say the same thing. I have to be here for now to get $ to live. But there is so much work to be done in the world!

People are needing friends to study the bible with or help to reach the lost. Yet here I am doing nothing.

You are such a blessing! You have such a heart for the world just like Jesus and the Father.

Your post reminds me of Jesus sitting in the carpenter shop day and after day working the same old...same old job. Plaining piecies of wood, ankle deep in wood shavings, looking out the window at the lonely people passing by...the small village life.

He had such a yearning in His heart to begin His Father's work. But He was doing His Dad's work right in the old shop and I'm sure He did acts of kindness for His neighbors, secret acts that He told no one about, secret things as He said, "When you do something nice for someone don't even let your right hand know what your left hand is doing." You know, those hidden works that were never recorded in the gospel.

Like for 29 years of His life Jesus was hidden until he was thrust into the big ministry.

I know that He sees the heart of yearning He has placed in your heart for the lost and to just help people. He's going to open doors for you, just you wait and see. Jesus is working His heart in all of us. As we find Him in the secret places, helping a co-worker, assisting a neighbor, we are walking with the footmen so to speak and pretty soon will be running with the horsemen into bigger bolder places. I can't wait to read the testimony of where the Lord is going to lead you next!

Father, I pray more for Looksgood, More for us! Spur us on to good works in the name of Jesus as You first increase our intimacy with You.
