The caption on this says "The original". Well, not quite! One of the best known early rock and roll facts is that this group took a song to Dick Clark for his opinion. He loved the song, but told them that there was a problem with lyrics. The song was called "Do The Bop", and he told them that that the bop was on the way out, and suggested that they change the title and some of the lyrics. They did, and they also changed the name of the group. Here is the REAL orginal!
