Nope, obviously I was totally ignorant of this fact. You do know that UPS will schedule deliveries? You can also make it a standing request for your packages to only be delivered in the afternoon.
I ship things very rarely and I don't have an account with any carriers. We make up two sides to a coin.My company ships worldwide. I have both a personal and a commercial account with most carriers.

Wow, that's amazing! I am sure your business is a great help.lol True. But one of the things my company does is manufacture parts for obsolete machinery, which is still in use in some countries. Without people like me, their production would stop. I think the oldest piece of machinery I made parts for was a loom patented in the late 18th century. I replaced their worn out power transfer gearbox. My gearbox was 10X stronger, but less than half the weight using modern materials. I shipped it to Indonesia.
I buy and sell stuff all the time on the internet. But that's private sales, not commercial, so it benefited me to create personal accounts.

That sounds like a wise idea, to have a personal account as well! I usually only buy online around birthdays or holidays so it's not enough to really warrant a personal account.
That is great. It fills a niche market. It accounts for roughly 33% of my business. The rest is manufacturing standard equipment, small scale textile machinery, and custom work.
Have you thought about selling online? There are numerous ways. Drop shippers (for online auctions), making your own products, etc. There is good money to be made out there.
That is great.
No, I haven't thought of selling online. I can't think of anything I know how to do that people would actually pay decent money for. I do draw a bit and though people want me to give it to them for free they are unwilling to pay for it. I guess I could make apple stack cakes and overnight them to people...for the right price. ha ha.
Thanks for the advice.I used to sell all kinds of things online. Mostly imported goods. Some companies will drop ship them for you with your "company" label on them. My sister used to sell cloth on ebay. She got a tax number, found the manufacturers, and then would sell it by the yard. But, she had a large building behind her house where she could work. Look around your area, I'm sure there are things manufactured that you can sell online. You just have to know a bit of code and how to write metatags, which isn't difficult.
Being on the receiving end isn't much better either, especially when they're talking about you....When you text the wrong person. Oops.

That reminds me of that old joke about the guy visiting Florida in August. He calls his wife to tell her everything is set up for her to join him, but accidentally calls the widow of a recently deceased pastor. "Hello honey. I arrived at my destination. Sure is hot down here. Your arrival time is set for 9:30 tomorrow morning".
AwkwardBut I have sent a text to a person I was talking about.
Awkward
I had to move my dvd rack out of my room when we rearranged a while back, it got put in my mom and dad's walk-in closet. I was in there, looking for a movie to watch when my mom and brother decided to have a private discussion about me in her room.....
My my, how classy...Mhm. Considering it was about my boyfriend at the time and we were having issues.I did some classy back tracking aka I lied.
Lol. Oh my. How bad was the conversation? Did you pop out and say surprise or did you wait until they were gone? /inquisitive
My my, how classy...
Just grabbed a movie, stepped out like normal and asked if she needed anything. Then left. lol
You, after realizing you'd sent it to the wrong person:Lol. I panicked, okay??
