That awkward moment when you're meeting someone for the first time and you try joking around with them, but you get zero reaction from them and you awkwardly switch to acting more serious. Oops. :sorry:
Oh my I once had that with a woman who wanted me to draw a map for her. I didn't even joke, just was friendly, laughed a bit. Always do that. She says with this sour face: Why are you laughing? Oh can't remember what I said but I was dead serious to her from that moment on.

That awkward moment when you wake up from a much needed nap but instead of being bright eyed and alert you struggle to do and say anything.:waaah: In the end you just end up speaking jibberish and people ask if you're drunk. Nope...I just napped too hard. :doh1:

My awkward moment at work some time ago:

*me calls Kalle*
Me: The machine is broken, can you come over and repair it?
Kalle: That's not my job, you have to call Pentti.
Me: Ok, I'll call Pentti.
*me calls Pentti immediatly*
*me doesn't know that Pentti has for some unknown reason forwarded his calls back to Kalle whom I just called*
*Kalle answers phone again, but says his name so unclearly, that I don't get it and I think I'm speaking to Pentti*

Me: The machine is broken, can you come over and repair it?
Kalle: Yes, I realize it's broken, but you know, that's not really my job, you should call Pentti!
*me doesn't want to call anyone for a while*

Haha. I'd totally react the same way and not call anyone for a while too. ^_^

Yeah, it makes you paranoid. If the next number I picked was forwarded to him too, he would have probably thought that I'm a robot that just keeps calling.

That awkward moment when you decide to clean your work phone, so you begin wiping it down and somehow unknowingly dial 911 and cut the call at the same time - next minute you have 911 operators calling your office back thinking there is some kind of emergency going on to which your colleagues answer the call and start searching around to find what's going on and who called them. Whilst you then suddenly put 2 and 2 together in a face palm moment. Yes, this was my reality situation this week :D

Oh my gosh! That is crazy. I can easily see it happening though! I've demonstrated for kids before how "we don't press 9-1-1 unless there is a real emergency" and in demonstrating pressed the numbers myself. But I hung up quickly and was never called back. Apparently your operators there are just more on the ball. :D

Haha, actually here it is 1-1-1, I just said 9-1-1 so it made more sense to others, so it's even easier to do :D

Yeah lol, like within 10 seconds they were calling back! At least it's good to know they are onto it if there is a real emergency :D

It was really awkward last week when a girl said hello to me and waved at me while I was at the bus stop. She was with a group of friends, and because of that and the distance, I couldn't quite tell whom she was. I just smiled and waved back....

Oh I once had that in the train. The train stopped and this enthousiastic woman outside starts knocking on the window, waving, hi so and so! Sooooo glad to see you!
I also smiled and waved back since a lot of times I don't remember faces. Maybe it was someone from church?
Lol she just thought I was someone else.

That awkward moment when you're on a date, and you order sushi, and the waiter brings you another table's order...but you both eat it, and then your actual order arrives. What??

This is a true story. :p

That's not awkward, that's just an opportunity. If I was on a date with someone who didn't eat the other table's order, then she'd have to walk the plank.

Before I finally gave in and got glasses(for distance), peoples' faces were basically a blur at anything beyond 10 meters. The eyes were most blurred and so if someone was looking in my direction then I couldn't tell if they were looking at me or near me.

Anyway, suffice to say I've smiled and waved enthusiastically to quite a few people I've never met that were probably totally freaked out lol.

I do that all the time. I refuse to wear them. I don't greet people I know and smile friendly at total strangers. Lol once even at a guy that I thought was that guy from Surinam I knew. Turned out to be a white man standing in the shadow.

Now I know what to look for when we go to that conference. When I see what appears to be the MilkyBar Kid waving at me, I'll know it's you.

That awkward moment when you wake up, look over at the clock and suddenly realise you have slept in. You suddenly jump out of bed ready to chuck your clothes on and run out the door when suddenly you realise its the weekend :D

That moment when you cough in your doctor's face while she was checking your throat. Her face people...her facial expression....she jumped back. ha ha ha. Surely I am not the only one to have done something like that? I couldn't help it...:234:

LOL Not quite! I accidentally coughed in some poor woman's face on a crowded bus last winter (opened my mouth to yawn, and a nasty, nasty cough exploded out). Later on, I'd sussed it out that I was in the beginning stages of a cold.

That awkward moment when you RickRoll someone and then try to send them another song as a peace offering, but forget to click the link, and so accidentally, expertly RickRoll then again.

Then that really awkward moment while you're abusing the smug stickers that you accidentally send a mushy one...
