  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off. I will be working, working and working! I am having a midnight dinner with some friends... My family lives three hours away, and I have a job that will further my future career once I am out of school, so I basically do as they say ;)

We get Wed, Thurs, and Fri off. I'm leaving on Tuesday morning, my plane takes off right in the middle of my Latin course. Thankfully, I can e-mail her my assignment and any homework assigned can be told to me by a friend and notes can be copied pretty quickly (if any are needed). I'm stoked to get home and see my family.

Oh man, with Turkey Day comes the excitement of gorging myself on food that I only eat once a year and watching football. Yes, I enjoy watching football and yelling at the TV screen with my family. :) *thinks* I'm off Thursday thru Friday and hit the books that Monday. It'll be a good break from classes and gives me time to just chill with my family. I'm going to baking A LOT throughout that week. Our house will explode from the massive amounts of bread and pies that will come forth from our oven. *laughs* I love Thanksgiving. :)

I also have Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I live in Maryland but will be traveling with my family up to New Hamphire to spend Thanksgiving with my father's brother and his family. I'm so excited! We haven't done this for five years!!!! I think that we'll visit Plymouth (I'm a history nut, so visiting Plymouth at Thanksgiving time will be awesome), watch my cousin's football game (he's really good), and eat, eat, eat. . . Can I tell ya'll a little secret about another reason why I'm so excited about going to NH? Every year, we spend Thanksgiving with my father's family in NJ. That means that my grandmother is there with her "Turkey Day Special" (e.g. disgusting oyster bake deluxe). Usually, I love seafood, but she really empties the salt shaker into this dish. All of the rest of her grandchildren are fussy eaters. She knows that I enjoy trying new foods. So, ever year, she heaps this, ahem, stuff onto my plate and beams down on me while I choke it down. Then, she sends the rest of it home for me. Ahhh!! Anyway, no Turkey Day Special this year!!!

Tuesday is our last day of classes for Thanksgiving break. We have Wedesday, Thursday, and Friday off.

My plans, eat lots of food, (Like I don't already... ;) ) Spend time with my family, and my grandfather is going to be 90 at the end of this month so we are going to throw him a party on Saturday. I'm looking forward to that. :)

Side note, my school may get off for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break, BUT NOT EASTER!! I just found out we don't get off for Easter. Not even that Monday after Easter.. :sigh:
