  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I want to thank the person who made me know how unwelcome I am around here today. Because of you I get to share in His sufferings. He was hated without reason - JN.15:18,19,25. And when asked why He was struck, they wouldn't tell Him - JN. 18:22,23.

I don't know what your issues are, but maybe we can be friends someday. I thought it would be nice to have you as a friend. :sigh:

I don't know the specific situation, but I am sorry you were made to feel unwelcome. Forums in general seem to draw a certain number of people who forget how to be civil as soon as they jump online. CF is no exception to the rule.

May you find more of the people who truly are here for fellowship, encouragement, and mutual learning; and less of those who are here to boost their fragile egos by putting others down.
