THANK YOU FOR THE LOVE
No, the words they never come,
when I stand before the throne,
there in awe my mind goes numb,
for a phrase is never known,
to express in such a way,
(and in words that man can say),
Oh Lord thank you for the love that You show to me.
Yes, the words that leave my tongue,
are so shallow and so poor,
and my greatest song that’s sung,
is so small and insecure,
to express a song to sing,
to the loving, living King.
Oh Lord thank you for the love that You show to me.
And the thanks and praise that’s thought,
while I meditate on you,
in it’s worth is almost naught,
for I hardly have a clue,
how to thank the saving Son,
for the work that He has done.
Oh Lord thank you for the love that You show to me.
