ONce again, the grace of God engulfed me as my husband and I went to our daughter and son-in-law's house to gather all her personal items and take them out of the house. His mom was there helping us and crying with us. She loved Erin, too, very much and it was very hard to see all her things just as she had left them. I brought all the boxes home, opening a few this week. I was doing pretty well until I opened one that Jeff had put all her hair accessories in and ther was her brush, with some of her long blond hairs still on it. I just lost it and had to close the box up. I can't deal with all that and my first Christmas without her so I have to just put it all aside for now.
Jeff told his mom he couldn't stand to be there when I came to get the things. He knew I would "fall apart" and cry.
Thank you for your continued prayers for us. We are struggling with our emotions now and the lonliness for the beautiful daughter who made our lives so happy when she was with us.
May God give us all peace this Christmas!
