  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What I find among Zoomers is that everything in their text carries holistic value. For example, selecting one emoji vs. another. For me, an emoji has limited applicability and meaning. It is what it symbolizes and not much more.

But with Zoomers, that doesn't seem to be completely true. Rather, many emojis are identical to each other, differing only in color. Selecting one identical emoji from a different identical emoji based on color connotes a meaning that is foreign to my way of thinking. But it carries tremendous meaning to Zoomers.

Iow, get used to feeling lost.

I could be wrong but I think he means that among the "Zoomers" there's additional meaning that goes with different emotes that express the same type of expression. For example, :) and :>

Both of them represent a smiling face, but they can mean different things. The :) emote is often seen as an ominous smile (didn't use to be that way though), whereas :> is more of a cutesy or "he he" kind of smile... I think.

So basically there may be nuances among certain groups of people, but you probably don't have to worry about it.

Okay, what does uwu and qwu mean?

uwu is related to owo. Both are "cat faces" of sorts. owo is associated with furries, while uwu has found use among non-furries. uwu is like a calmer, more laid back, shyer or humbler owo. It may also be used ironically in a sort of cheeky way, like "I don't know what you're talking about uwu".

I have no clue what qwu is. I figure q would be an open eye with a tear coming out of it, and it'd be used in something like qwq to represent a crying cat face... but I've never seen qwu.
