Here's a song I wrote basically showing us our responsibility as Christians to witness to the world. It's based around the WTC bombings on 9/11. Read the whole thing before you'll actually understand it...
This is all that I can think to say,
About that incident on an early September day,
I got woke by the TV seeing people cryin,
Watchin people laying in the street dyin,
I saw the bombs,
I saw the moms, runnin for their children,
I saw the people, runnin for their lives, from the buildin,
Do you really think that God would tell you to kill somebody?
Or did you just do it cause you hate us and you had the money?
Us Americans didn’t think that it was very funny,
Not sayin that we shoulda attacked your whole country.
How long did it take you to plan a stunt like that?
Convincin people that their lives are worth nuthin, man,
Tellin them to crash planes into the towers and,
Takin down as many people with them as they can.
Do you have any idea what you have done?
The devastation and chaos in Iraq that has begun,
America’s excuse to kill the little ones,
Playin outside as we dropped the bombs.
Do you realize that you were this nations most wanted villain,
The price put on your head was over 100 million,
But you’re prolly dead, or in some hole chillin,
Would have never happened if you had never started killin.
By now you’re probably not even alive,
If you are, you can never show your face outside,
Did you watch what you caused us to do in Iraq?
What you did was nothin compared to what we did back.
This is the outlook in so many Christian’s minds,
We have an excuse to hate you, so we think it’s fine,
But where were we when you were growin up,
Were we over in Iraq, tellin you about God’s love?
Osama, man, chances are you ain’t even read,
God’s Word one night before you went to bed.
It’s really sad, man, that you were so mislead,
Never knew Christ’s love and now you’re probably dead.
Maybe we could have saved all of those people’s lives,
Not to mention, yours, if we had only testified.
If you had only known, or you were only shown,
God reached down from the throne, because of love alone,
Maybe if we had only tried, instead of always hide,
Instead of layin around bein lazy guys,
To change a dyin world, one life at a time,
If we would only testify.
