My best friend Diane is taking her GED test tomorrow. The reason I wrote in the title that it affects life changes is this...
My friend is 19 and has a daughter who is a year and a half old (who is ADORABLE by the way
) My friend ended up dropping out of school when she found out she was pregnant. She has only completed grade 9 in high school because she got held back. The only people willing to hire her right now with no GED is fast food places and she worked at McDonalds for 3 years and kept getting passed over for promotions.
She's trying to get her GED so that she can join the military. She feels it is the only way to get herself ahead in the world so she can make a decent life for her and her daughter (she's currently living with my family who is supporting her and her child). She's already taken the GED once and did not pass the math portion and now she is retaking that. Please pray she passes this, so that she can get herself into the military (I will be back asking for prayer for her ASVAB-armed service vocational apptitude battery, that she will need to pass in order to enlist.) so she can make a life for herself and support her child.
Her test is tomorrow (Nov. 13) at 12:30-1:30pm central standard time. Please, if you think of it, just stop what you are doing sometime during that hour block and just take a few moments to pray for her. Thanks so much, all prayers are appreciated!!!
