  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I played tennis extensively when I was younger..can't play now except for table tennis (because of shoulder problems); but loved it once. My favorite part of the game was when I got a chance to run to the net and slam one back at my opponent.

If you have a favorite part of the game please share it..or tell one of your "tennis stories.":cool:

Used to play alot of tennis. Trained upto 20 hours a week, both technical and physical training(at the tennis association), and played invitational youth tournaments. But totally destroyed my knee, shoulder, wrist, elbow and minor but still chronic problems in groin and achilles areas(can't even walk without pain anymore /o\), so needless to say don't play anymore. But still absolutely love the game, best sport in the world, absolutely sure of that.

Do you watch the matches on TV? My husband watches the baseball games so I get somewhat involved in that. I miss playing tennis but, like you, have physical limitations now. Loved it when I did it and did it for years even offered a coaching job..high school level way back when I started teaching but didn't take that job. Got a better job but no tennis. :o

Yeah sure watch matches on TV, mainly the Grand Slams(saw alot of the Isner-Mahut thriller) also go down to my old club from time to time to check out some matches there. Who knows sis, you might one day get a coaching job if the Lord has that planned for you.

No, am retired now and that is just fine! :D
