Is there a strawberry equivalent to apple sauce? And I don't mean that so called strawberry apple sauce that is apple sauce with strawberry added. I mean no apples; just strawberries.

How about my idea for a rice cake?:

Spread marshmallow cream on a plain rice cake (or maybe a banana flavored rice cake if there is such a thing). Arrange strawberry slices on marshmallow cream. Heat in a microwave oven for about 30 seconds or until marshmallow cream is melted.

One could try it on toasted banana bread or something (Now that I am thinking about it, that sounds good; strawberry slices and melted marshmallow cream on toasted banana bread ).

Anyway, I love strawberries, but I don't like them plain. I have to think of some way to prepare them without adding more than minimal sugar and fat.
