Tell me about LWML?

I'm curious about LWML. Is this a group of mainly older women?

When I was a Methodist, there was a group called United Methodist Women. Most of the women in there were over 60, though it was open to younger women. Is that kind of how LWML is?

It does seem to be mainly "older" women, though there are many places where there are younger women. My husband serves a dual parish and in one, most of the LWML members are older and in the other, most of the LWML members are younger.

Our LWML used to be mostly older women, but now that we have the separate "50+ Group", we're seeing younger women coming into LWML. It also helps that we have a couple of younger women who are very good at organizing special events. For example, we had a lovely afternoon tea last fall, and all the women of the congregation were invited. Even if they don't come to LWML meetings regularly after that, they have a positive image of the group, and they get to connect with some of th eother women in the church.

The church I use to go to had a special circle for working women in the evenings that met once a month, the guild meetings were quarterly and there was also a circle for the younger women that included both married and unmarried women and the other 2 circles were mostly older women. I went to the guild meeting at Radmans church last week and there was a mixture but more of the older women.
